Man Killed In Double Shooting Identified

A man is dead and another wounded after a shooting early Saturday morning outside a west-end pub.
Police say shortly after midnight there was a dispute inside Tom’s Cafe and Sports Bar near Davenport Road and Ossington Avenue.
There are reports the argument continued outside, at which point one of the men involved allegedly pulled out a gun and shot 26-year-old Richard “Richie” Durant in the abdomen and another man in the leg.
Durant was rushed to the trauma centre at Sunnybrook hospital and underwent emergency surgery. But he succumbed to his injuries on Saturday afternoon.
The second victim was treated in hospital and released.
The suspect is described as:
- Male
- Black, with a medium complexion
- Mid-20s
- 5’2″ to 5’4″
- Thin build
- May have stubble on his chin
- Last seen wearing a grey or dark-coloured hooded sweatshirt, baggy jeans and dark runners
