Incident Reported On Second Detroit-Bound Flight

Just two days after a suspected terrorism attack was thwarted on a Northwest Airlines plane, there was a second incident on the same Amsterdam to Detroit route.

Emergency vehicles swarmed Flight 253 upon its arrival at the Detroit airport about 12:30pm Sunday after the crew requested assistance to deal with an “unruly” passenger who had locked himself in the aircraft’s bathroom.

A Nigerian passenger was taken into custody and questioned by the FBI, but they soon determined the man had a legitimate case of food poisoning.

It happened aboard the same Northwest Airlines route on which a man allegedly attempted to light an explosive on Christmas Day.

Passengers overpowered 23-year-old Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, also from Nigeria, as the plane was about to land in Detroit.
