On April 8th, we ran a story relating to Native-manufactured cigarettes in circulation throughout the GTA. In the segment we referred to DK, Putters and Sago brand cigarettes as “illegal”. Since that broadcast, CityNews has learned that the manufacturer of DK, Putters and Sago cigarettes, Grand River Enterprises Six Nations, holds a federal license to manufacture cigarettes and that the DK, Putters and Sago brands are legal for sale on native reserves. CityNews sincerely regrets any misunderstanding and apologizes.
