Playnow.com to re-launch after BCLC fixes security glitch

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – The B.C. Lottery Corporation is re-launching its online gambling website after fixing a glitch that let people use other players’ accounts. PlayNow.com was yanked offline as soon as the corporation started getting phone calls pointing out the problem.
Corporation President Michael Graydon says no one was hurt financially. “In addition, BCLC has provided credit monitoring services for the twelve players who had a measure of personal information viewed by another player. Our number one priority is to put our players first, earning and keeping their trust is essential”
Graydon says the corporation lost about $150,000 per day while the site was offline to fix the problem.
Playnow.com should be back online at about 7 p.m. on Thursday.
