Rogers Media Inc. announced Tuesday that it will launch iVillage Canada – a website and online community that will cover everything from pregnancy and parenting to health and beauty.
The site, ivillage.ca, is set to launch this spring.
Visitors to the site will be able to check out articles from iVillage in the U.S. and U.K. and content from popular media brands such as Chatelaine, sweetspot.ca and Citytv.
More than 30 million people visit iVillage each month in the U.S., making it the largest community for women online.
Rogers Media is a division of Rogers Communications Inc. and the parent of Citytv. iVillage Inc., based in New York City, is part of the NBCUniversal Entertainment & Digital Networks and Integrated Media Group.
“iVillage is the perfect complement to the Rogers family of women’s brands,” said the site’s director, Leigh Felesky.
“As both a businessperson and a mother, I am eager to provide a place for all Canadian women to enjoy a breadth of advice, entertainment and conversation.”
