Fire rips through Bowmanville restaurant

Durham firefighters are busy battling flames that broke out at a restaurant in Bowmanville, Ont., on Monday afternoon.
Emergency crews were called to the scene shortly before 1 p.m., at the Double Dragon Delights restaurant on King Street West, in the Scugog Street and Durham Highway 2 area.
CityNews viewer Leanne Densmore said that nearby offices have been evacuated.
At this point it’s not known what sparked the fire, and there were no reports of injuries.
Officials told CityNews crews are expected to remain on the scene for another couple of hours until the blaze is extinguished.
