Arrest made in Brampton homicide

Peel police have made an arrest in connection to a homicide on Sunday night.

Twenty-three-year-old Richard Forbes of Brampton was gunned down at a home on Newby Court, near Main and Vodden streets, just before midnight. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have arrested Terence Everet Watson, 25, also of Brampton.  He has been charged with second degree murder and will appear in court on Tuesday.

Police say they responded to a disturbance call when they found Forbes suffering from obvious signs of trauma.

“We know that there was other people present in the residence as well too,” said Const. George Tudos. “There were no other injuries reported.”

“We will be looking at all the evidence at the scene and also speaking to the parties that were at the residence to determine exactly what happened and what led to this male party being shot.”

Neighbours, such as James Lindo, who lives with his young daughter and nephew, expressed shock and fear.

“I’m scared,” he told CityNews. “It’s dangerous.”
