A two-alarm fire broke out at an auto body shop in Rexdale early Wednesday.
The flames erupted on Taber Road, near Kipling and Rexdale Boulevard, around 1:30 a.m. and quickly escalated to two-alarm status.
Firefighters had to be cautious because there were some propane tanks that blew up in the building. They managed to get a handle on the fire about an hour later but continued to douse hot spots throughout the morning.
There were no reports of injuries and so far, there’s no word on what caused the fire.
Crews were also called to douse a van fire on Unwin Avenue, near Cherry Beach, around 11 p.m. Tuesday.
Authorities say the vehicle was stolen and set on fire.
And firefighters had to put out a small kitchen fire on Bathurst, just south of College Street that sent one person to hospital for minor smoke inhalation.
