Smith set to join Linsanity in New York

J.R. Smith has just arrived home from China and it looks like he has already found a new home.
Smith sent out a tweet earlier this morning which read: “New York Knicks It Is!”
According to the New York Post, Smith will sign a deal with the New York Knicks on Friday.
In an interesting twist of fate, had Smith been available three weeks ago, the Knicks likely would have cut Jeremy Lin as his contract was not guaranteed. Renaldo Balkman is expected to be released to make room on the roster for Smith.
During the NBA lockout, Smith signed a deal to play with the Zhejiang Chouzhou Golden Bulls.
Before spending time overseas, Smith was with the Denver Nuggets for seven seasons, averaging 12.5 points per game.
