Several arrested in Thornhill banquet hall raid

Several people have been arrested at a Thornhill banquet hall after police executing a search warrant during a Super Bowl party.

Police told CityNews they busted a multi-million dollar gambling enterprise at the Le Parc Banquet Hall.

There has been no word on how many people were arrested or charges laid.

The raid was conducted by the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit during an an invitation-only annual gambling event held on Super Bowl Sunday.

Officials say the illegal gaming enterprise was allegedly run by organized crime groups.

Police will give an update on the raid on Monday.
