Some car insurance myths exposed

There are some things that are guaranteed to increase your car insurance premiums and some things are just simply myths.
Driving a red car doesn’t mean your insurance rates will be higher than if you were to drive a white car, according to Tammy Ezer from insurancehotline.com.
Another common misconception is that males have higher premiums than females, unless they are under 25-years-old.
While some truth exists in this claim, once men become older than 25 years old their insurance premiums become equal to that of a woman’s premium.
Some people are under the impression that their car insurance covers them while drive any vehicle, that in fact is a myth according to Ezer.
“The insurance coverage is for your friend’s car. It’s not your insurance that is covering you,” Ezer said. “It’s the car that is being insured.”
Contrary to belief, parking tickets don’t necessary increase your insurance rates unless you don’t pay them for an extended period of time which could ultimately effect your ability to renew your license, Ezer noted.
