Heat alert ends for Toronto

Toronto Public Health has ended a heat alert for the city as the temperature is expected to dip to 10 C Thursday evening.

“Thursday morning will be humid [but] through the afternoon we’ll see some falling temperatures,” CityNews weather specialist Frank Ferragine said.

“It will be a mainly overcast sky and there is a risk of pop-up showers in the morning,” he said.

Those showers hit Toronto’s downtown just before 2 p.m. Check out the video from CityNews meteorologist Natasha Ramsahai below:

The heat alert was first issued on Tuesday but by Friday, we’ll see a high of just 14 C, a true return to fall weather.

On Saturday, the temperature will climb to 18 C.
