2 truck drivers charges after undeclared tobacco found at border

The Canada Border Services Agency says two commercial drivers are facing charges following recent seizures of loose leaf tobacco at the Ambassador Bridge in Windsor.
CBSA says an Ontario driver is charged after a shipment labelled as frozen apple slices turned out to be more than 15,000-kilograms of tobacco.
A Quebec driver faces charges after an inspection of a truck declared to be hauling rubber mulch was found to contain more than 14,000-kilograms of tobacco.
Since January, CBSA Officers in the southern Ontario region say they’ve seized tobacco worth more than $8.3-million.
