French fries lead to fire at Wilson Heights and Sheppard

A fire in a basement apartment started as a late night attempt to make French fries.
The fire began on Wilson Heights Boulevard near Sheppard Avenue just before midnight on Sunday. It’s not known exactly how many people were in the apartment, but two of them were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.
No one was taken to hospital, and firefighters quickly put out the fire.
The cost of the damage is not yet known.
