Brampton teacher charged after alleged sexual relationship with teen student

Peel Regional police have charged a Brampton high school teacher after he allegedly became involved in a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old female student.

Douglas Dale, 45, has been charged with sexual exploitation.

Dale, a teacher at Heartlake Secondary School in Brampton since 1999, was arrested on Tuesday and is being held in custody pending a bail hearing.

The Peel School Board tells CityNews Dale was sent home as soon as the allegations came to light.
