Thunderstorm watch & heat warning both over for Toronto

The City of Toronto and parts of the GTA are no longer under a thunderstorm watch and the heat warning has ended as well.

Meteorologist Adam Stiles says a cold front moving through will help the humidity and drop temperatures back to the seasonal average in the low-mid 20s.

Water pooling on the roads and a bit of flash flooding was seen during the series of thunderstorms Monday afternoon across the GTA.

It definitely won’t be the last time Toronto will see extreme heat and thunderstorms this summer. The city is reminding the public to take these precautions during high heat events:
