A pedestrian is facing a charge of failing to use a crosswalk after she was struck by a vehicle in Rexdale.
It happened in the area of Albion Road and Highway 27 just after midnight on Wednesday.
The pedestrian, a woman in her 30s, was taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
If convicted of the charge, the penalty is a $35 fine plus surcharges, bringing the total to $50.
The driver remained at the scene and was not charged.
Correction: Toronto police earlier said the pedestrian was already charged.
