Man injured, woman arrested in Gerrard Square mall stabbing

Toronto police say a man has suffered serious injuries and a woman has been arrested after a stabbing at Gerrard Square Shopping Centre.

Officers were called to the scene just before 9 p.m. at Gerrard Street East and Pape Avenue on Monday to reports of two people fighting.

They found a man suffering from a stab wound and he has been taken to hospital in serious, but non-life-threatening condition.

A woman was also taken to hospital with minor injuries and she is in police custody.

Police continue to investigate the incident.
