It will be a busy morning for parents across three of the city’s biggest regions as registration for City of Toronto rec programs begin.
Registration for the city’s winter swim, skate and March Break programs in North York, Toronto/East York and West Toronto/York started at 7 a.m. on Tuesday.
Parents can sign their kids up online, in person or over the phone.
The City of Toronto Parks, Forestry and Recreation department said that over 14,000 registrations were already processed online by 7:10 a.m.
This year the city added 20,000 new recreation program spaces that will continue to be available in 2019.
The city is also reminding parents that many community centres across Toronto offer free recreation programs, including leisure swimming and drop-in programs for children, youth and older adults.
