Mom claims rusty, 3-inch nail found in toy

Georgetown woman Jennifer Peacock claims she found a three-inch nail inside her three-year-old son’s stuffed dragon, a Christmas present from his aunt and uncle, who purchased the toy in Brampton.

Ferrero, the parent company that owns Kinder that manufactures the toy, replied on Friday.
“We are aware of the situation and have been in contact with the consumer. We fully understand how difficult this must have been, especially during the holidays. The safety of our products is our highest priority and we are taking this matter seriously. The consumer has agreed to send us the items in question, which will help with our investigation, once we receive them.”
