Toronto police have released security images of three suspects after two men were shot on a TTC bus over the weekend.
Emergency crews were called to the intersection of Bloor Street West and Islington Avenue around 4:15 a.m. Saturday.
According to police, two male passengers got into a shouting match near the front of the bus.
One of the males then pulled a handgun from the bag of another male he was travelling with and shot the other passenger.
Police say a third man, who was not involved in the argument, tried to intervene and was also shot.
As the armed passenger ran from the bus he dropped the gun.
Police say a female friend of his picked it up and all three suspects fled on foot.
Both victims were rushed to hospital with serious injuries.
Police have released the following description of the suspects:
Suspect #1 (who allegedly fired the gun), is described as a male wearing a blue jacket and sunglasses.
Suspect #2 (who was allegedly wearing a light-coloured satchel, carrying the firearm), is described as a male wearing a black-hooded top.
Suspect #3 (who allegedly picked up the firearm), is described as a female wearing a dark-coloured jacket.
There were about 15 to 20 people on the bus at the time of the shooting.
Police say when the bus stopped most of the passengers fled the area before officers arrived on scene. Investigators would like to speak with anyone who was a passenger on the bus or who was in the area and witnessed the shooting.
