Police have released security images of a man wanted in connection with a stabbing in Yonge-Dundas Square Friday night.
Police say around 9:15 p.m. a group of men were standing around conversing when a second man approached the group and slashed the victim in the neck before fleeing westbound on Dundas.
The suspect is described as a black male, between 18 and 24 years of age, approximately five-foot-10 to six-feet in height, medium build and short, curly dark hair. He was wearing a light blue hooded top with the word “Bench” written across the chest in white lettering and multi-coloured checkered pants with white running shoes.
The victim was taken to hospital where he was treated for serious but non-life threatening injuries.
