Man arrested for allegedly killing neighbour in Hamilton

One person is dead and a man is in custody after an incident in Hamilton overnight.

It happened on Magnolia Drive, near Highway 403 and the Lincoln Alexander Parkway.

Police said a 26-year-old man was arrested and is expected to appear in court later on Tuesday.

The identity of the victim is not being released at this time.

Police say the victim and the suspect were neighbours and that there is no threat to public safety.

Homicide is investigating.
