Person facing charges after vehicle collision with Toronto police cruiser

A driver is facing charges in connection with a crash involving a Toronto police cruiser early Saturday morning.

Police said the incident occurred at around 12 a.m. on Sheppard Avenue East near Brenyon Way.

Investigators allege the driver was under the influence of an unspecified substance after making a head-on collision with a police vehicle.

There were no reports of injuries, police said.

Police said the driver of the vehicle is facing impaired driving charges.
