Toronto rapper identified as man killed in Surrey shooting

SURREY (NEWS 1130) — Police are identifying the man who was killed in a Surrey home Monday as 18-year-old Keyshawn Brown.
Brown, an up and coming Toronto based rapper died Dec. 23.
Officers arrived at a home on 152nd Street and 22nd Avenue around around 9:30 p.m. to find Brown with fatal gunshot wounds.
Tributes to Brown, known as “Why-S” in the Toronto music scene, started being posted online days ago.

Police do not believe this is gang-related but are seeking the public’s help to fill in some gaps. Officers are hoping someone can help them figure out how long Brown had been in B.C. and what he was doing before his violent death.
