Man critically injured in Mississauga motorcycle crash

A man has been rushed to hospital after a motorcycle crashed into a tree in Mississauga.

Police were called to Unity and Loyalist Drives just before 2:30 p.m. Friday.

There were reports from the scene that the motorcycle had caught fire as well.

Paramedics say they are transporting the patient with critical injuries to a trauma centre.

Road closures are in effect in the area.
