Man, 28, seriously injured in North York stabbing

A 28-year-old man suffered serious injuries following a stabbing in North York.

Police say they were called to a laundromat in a plaza on Albion Road, west of Finch Avenue West shortly after 7 p.m. Friday night.

They say two men were involved in an altercation when one of them was stabbed.

The victim was rushed to a trauma centre suffering from multiple stab wounds to the abdomen and arms.

A 24-year-old suspect was taken into custody at the scene. Police say a weapon was also recovered and that no other suspects are being sought at this time.

It’s unknown what the relationship, if any, is between the two men or what led up to the altercation.
