Another Peel elementary school closes to in-person learning after COVID-19 outbreak

Another elementary school in Peel Region is being closed to in-person learning due to a COVID-19 outbreak.
The french-language catholic school EEC Rene-Lamoureux on Meadows Boulevard, near Rathburn and Central Parkway in Mississauga is reporting four cases of COVID-19 among students and will not reopen until at least April 6.
This is the second school from the French Catholic school board to switch to virtual learning, École Secondaire Catholique Sainte-Famille in Mississauga closed its doors on March 19.
Peel Region schools have been especially hard hit by the pandemic.
In the Dufferin-Peel Catholic School Board, 10 schools are currently closed, including St. Sofia in Mississauga, where an outbreak has hit at least 15 students and staff, reportedly sending three to hospital.
