Peel Regional Police have identified a 27-year-old man as the victim in Mississauga’s latest homicide.
The early morning shooting happened on Wednesday just before 5:30 a.m. in a residential area at Formentera and Aquitaine Avenues.
When officers arrived they found a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound outside a townhouse complex. He later died at the scene as a result of the injuries.
The victim has been identified as Asad Ahmed Siddiqui from Mississauga.
Police say there is no suspect information at this time, but the shooting is believed to be an isolated incident.
The shooting comes just a day after another shooting in Peel Region that took the life of a 19-year-old man in Brampton.
