A lockdown has been lifted at a Toronto boarding school after police investigated a pair of alleged threats.
Investigators told CityNews that Branksome Hall, located in the Elm Avenue and Mount Pleasant Road area in Rosedale, was placed under lockdown after officers were informed of an email and phone call of concern around 7:15 a.m. on Monday.
A spokesperson for Branksome Hall says the lockdown has ended after police determined that there was no immediate threat to students and staff.
“We have notified students, parents and employees, and students are being dismissed,” the spokesperson said.
“At Branksome Hall, the safety of our community is our highest priority. We have comprehensive lockdown procedures, which the students, staff and administration have been following.”
Branksome Hall teaches students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12.
No injuries were reported.
