You can soon spend a night aboard the Theodore Too tugboat through Airbnb

The Theodore Too Tugboat is hard to miss. Soon, you can say you spent a night aboard the iconic vessel.

Captain Noah, the man behind the tugboat and turned Airbnb host, will allow guests to rent out Theodore Too for $22 a night starting August 29.

Theodore Too, built in Nova Scotia in 2000, was located in Bedford for years but arrived in Hamilton last summer.

“I’m lucky to captain Theodore this summer, and I’m thrilled to welcome you aboard for a night,” wrote Captain Noah.

“You’ll cozy up in our cabins surrounded by memorabilia celebrating Canada’s nautical history, enjoy a movie night on the deck — and, of course, take a cruise in Hamilton’s Harbour with some of my finest crew members.”

Stays will take place on a boat at a dock in the harbour, and Captain Noah says those with motion sickness should probably pass on the experience altogether.

The captain says he’s prepared cabins for guests and decked the boat “with iconic Canadiana and nods to Theodore TOO’s roots in Halifax — and complete with saltwater taffy.”

There are three bedrooms, including a queen-sized bed and a bunk bed. Yes, it comes with WiFi.

Captain Noah says guests can utilize the kitchen inside the tugboat, but anyone renting it out will be treated to local eats from Hamilton as a way to serve small businesses.

Theodore’s crew will also stay overnight in their separate cabin on the lower deck.
