Man charged for ‘sexually propositioning’ girls near Aldershot High School

A man has been charged after reports a suspect was propositioning young girls near Aldershot High School in Burlington.

Halton police say they received multiple calls that a male had been driving around the area allegedly sexually propositioning high-school aged females on Tuesday afternoon.

The suspect was said to be driving a 2013 black four-door Volkswagen Jetta, according to police.

Shortly after, officers spotted the suspect vehicle in the parking lot of the high school, unoccupied. When the man returned, he was arrested.

Sukiran Sirtharan, 23, of Burlington has been charged with two counts of invitation to sexual touching and two counts of failure to comply with a probation order

He’s been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
