Wife of Mississauga man missing since mid-August pleads for public’s help

The wife of a Mississauga man missing since August is desperately searching for answers and assistance in locating her husband, who she has not heard from in months.

Triet Leng, 45, was last seen on Aug. 14 in the Dixie Road and Shawson Drive area in Mississauga. Leng is described as 5-foot-6 with black hair.

Police said he was last seen wearing a long sleeve red hoodie or sweatshirt, brown shorts and a dark-coloured baseball cap. He may have had a chin strap beard or stubble, investigators noted.

Five days later, police in Peel region said authorities and Leng’s family were concerned for his well-being.

Leng’s wife, Diep Dang, tells CityNews she feels helpless and is renewing her calls with hopes that her husband will be found safe.

“I want his photo to be broadcast so that there is a better chance of finding him,” Dang said. “All Peel regional police is doing is posting his picture at the mall.”

Peel police said in early September that Leng may have appeared confused in his interactions with people the day he was last seen near Rockwood Mall in Mississauga.

Anyone with information is asked to call investigators at (905) 453–2121, ext. 1233.
