One of the victims, a male, was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries. He is listed in critical but stable condition.
The condition of the second victim is not yet known.
Police tell CityNews the person taken into custody is under 18 years old.
It appears the stabbing took place in the hallway by the elevator on the seventh floor.
One resident, who has an eight-year-old son at home, said she heard yelling and then screams. When she looked out, she saw two people laying on the floor and called 911.
“I got scared … my husband is working at night, so we’re just alone here the two of us and I am pregnant,” she said.
It is not yet clear what led up to the stabbing.
