Police investigate double homicide at Bowmanville home

Durham police say the discovery of two bodies inside a Bowmanville home is being treated as a homicide.

Police say they were called to a residence on Crombie Street in the area of Middle Road and William Fair Drive just after 2 p.m. Saturday for a wellness check. When they arrived they discovered the two bodies inside the home.

The ages, genders and the relationship between the two victims was not revealed.

Police did not say if they are looking for more than one suspect but appealed to anyone who may have information to contact them.

The homicide unit has now taken over the investigation.
