Toronto police have made one arrest and are searching for another suspect involved in a violent break-in carried out in the city’s west end.

Investigators say on Feb. 18, two suspects attended an apartment building in the Queen Street West and Jameson Avenue area and broke the door to gain entry.

It’s alleged one resident was assaulted by the suspects threatening to kill them. The two perpetrators fled the area in a motor vehicle, described as a newer model black SUV with silver rims, possibly a GMC Terrain. The licence plate was not provided.

It’s unclear if any personal items or money were taken during the incident.

Police arrested one suspect, identified as 23-year-old Hady Delgado of Toronto. He’s been charged with break-and-enter, assault and uttering threats (death). Delgado appeared in court on Wednesday.

The outstanding suspect is described as male, between six-foot-two and six-foot-three, with a large build.

He was last seen wearing a black balaclava, a black jacket with a dark hoodie underneath, black pants, and black running shoes with white soles.
