Suspect wanted in TTC subway assault broke boy’s glasses, spat on man: police

Toronto police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man wanted from an attack in January when he took and broke a boy’s glasses and then spat on another man at a TTC subway station in North York.

Officers were called to North York Centre, in the Yonge Street and Empress Avenue area, just before 1 p.m. on January 30 for reports of two assaults.

It’s alleged that a man grabbed a 15-year-old boy’s eyeglasses, smashed them, and threw them back at the boy. He then approached another man, said to be in his 50s, and spat at him on the subway platform.
