Suspect sought for death threats, brandishing weapon in North York

Toronto police are looking for a suspect who allegedly made death threats towards someone while armed with a knife in North York.

Officers responded to a high-rise apartment building in the area of Yonge Street and Finch Avenue around 9 p.m. on Monday.

It is alleged two people became involved in an argument at the building when one man made a death threat towards the other individual. The suspect then allegedly displayed a knife.

The suspect fled the area before officers arrived.

Police are looking for 23-year-old Shayan Gharebabai of Toronto. He is facing four charges including threatening death.

Gharebabai is described as five-feet eight inches tall and 160 lbs, with black braided hair. He was last seen wearing a grey hoodie and grey pants.
