Woman arrested after alleged involvement in multiple TTC assaults

Toronto police have arrested a woman suspected of being involved in multiple assaults and other incidents at several TTC subway stations and an apartment building.

Hannah Bronstein, 28, was arrested and charged with two counts of voyeurism and assault in connection with an incident in an elevator in North York and the Queen subway station assault.

Police say they are continuing to investigate incidents at Spadina and Donlands subway stations and further charges may be laid.

The four separate incidents occurred between May 12 and June 14.

On May 12 at approximately 8 p.m., police say a group of pre-teen girls entered the elevator of a building in the Cordova Avenue and Islington Avenue area, near Islington Station.

The suspect, who was also in the elevator, allegedly placed their cell phone at the feet of the group and appeared to capture images of the girls. The girls exited the elevator and shortly after the suspect took the elevator down and exited the building.

On June 3 at approximately 7:50 p.m., two teenage girls exited the subway at Donlands Station. They were walking up the stairs when a woman approached from behind and threw an unknown liquid, filming the incident on a cellphone before fleeing into the subway station.

At approximately 10:01 p.m. on June 7, a 21-year-old woman exited the subway at Queen Station and was walking up the stairs when a woman approached her from behind and assaulted her, before fleeing north on the subway platform.

The last incident, on June 14 at approximately 8:37 p.m., police say the suspect approached a TTC employee at Spadina Station and engaged them in conversation before stealing cleaning supplies off a work cart. She then began chasing the TTC employee and allegedly assaulted them.
