Man critically injured after being struck by vehicle in Bay and Bloor area

A man is in hospital after being struck by a vehicle in the Bay Street and Bloor Street West area on Sunday morning.

Toronto police say a black Volkswagen Jetta was travelling southbound on Bay Street just after 3 a.m. when they struck a man who had entered the same lane.

The man was taken to a trauma centre in life-threatening condition.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene to assist in the investigation.
