Man arrested following argument, stabbing on board TTC streetcar
A man has been arrested after he was allegedly involved in an argument and stabbed another man on a downtown streetcar on Tuesday.
Officers were called to the area of St. Patrick Street and Dundas Street West at approximately 3:10 p.m.
The Toronto Police Service (TPS) said the suspect was involved in a verbal altercation with the victim onboard a TTC streetcar, and the argument turned physical.

Authorities said the suspect pulled out a knife, stabbed the victim, and then fled westbound on Dundas Street West.
Paramedics say the victim was transported to a hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
TPS officers attended the scene and arrested the suspect. A knife was recovered, police noted.
The suspect and victim were not known to each other.
The accused was identified as 55-year-old James Brooks of Toronto. He’s been charged with aggravated assault, weapons dangerous and carrying a concealed weapon.

He was scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday morning.
