Man dies after being struck by vehicle at Keele and Hwy. 401 off-ramp

A man has died after he was struck by a vehicle on Keele Street near the westbound Highway 401 off-ramp.
Emergency crews responded to the area just before 7 a.m. on Thursday.
Paramedics say the man was in his 30s. He was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
680 NewsRadio reports it appears the man was crossing Keele when he was hit by a vehicle that had exited the 401 and was heading north on Keele.
Police say the driver involved remained at the scene.
The eastbound and westbound collector lanes of the 401 were closed at Keele. Northbound Keele was also closed from Falstaff to Wilson avenues, which meant drivers could not access the 401 from that area. These closures were lifted around 12:30 p.m.
The eastbound and westbound highway off-ramps to Keele were also closed and reopened just after 1:30 p.m.
