Man dead after Brantford house fire

A man is dead after an early-morning house fire in Brantford on Saturday.
Firefighters received the call for the residential fire around 1 a.m.
The man was located inside the home without vital signs and transported to hospital.
He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The house suffered significant smoke damage.
The Ontario Fire Marshal was called in to investigate the cause of the fire.
The identity of victim has not been released.
