‘Chair Girl’ sentencing delayed until end of month

By The Canadian Press and News Staff

A young woman who gained notoriety after throwing a chair from a highrise balcony in downtown Toronto will have to wait until the end of the month to find out her sentence.

Marcella Zoia pleaded guilty to mischief causing danger to life last year.

Prosecutors have requesting several months behind bars for the 20-year-old but her lawyer argued she shouldn’t face any jail time.

The hearing has been put over until March 30 because the judge in the case has been sick and has not been able to finish her decision.
