Seinfeld reruns make $2.3 billion

Reruns of Seinfeld have raked in billions, not that there’s anything wrong with that.

The hit show has made more than $2.3 billion since going off the air in 1998.

Some of the money went to Warner Bros., but creators Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David have collected about $80 million a year from the reruns.

Since going off the air, Jerry Seinfeld has had a low profle TV career. His latest show, the Marriage Ref, failed to wow critics and fans alike. Some have called it the “Seinfeld curse.”

Pop culture expert Robert Thompsons said that he believes The Simpsons will eventually overtake Seinfeld as the most rerun show of all time.

Seinfeld originally aired on NBC from 1989 to 1998.
