The busiest GO train corridor will be train-free this weekend as crews upgrade some old sections of track.
The construction has shut down the entire Lakeshore West Line, from Union Station to West Harbour, on Saturday and Sunday.
Buses are running along the line, but will only be stopping at the following stations:
- West Harbour
- Aldershot
- Burlington
- Oakville
- Clarkson
- Union
Reminder: No train service this weekend due to construction. Buses will run from Union Station Bus Terminal, Clarkson, Oakville, Burlington, Aldershot and West Harbour GO stations. Info: https://t.co/iYBwOhsPfL pic.twitter.com/Cug99DhzlE

Much like last weekend’s shutdown of the Lakeshore East line, buses will be called in to help as Metrolinx deals with a reduction in staff from their mandatory vaccination policy. GO transit warns service may be interrupted at times due to the resource challenges.
In addition to the limited GO service, a TTC subway closure will affect riders along the Yonge portion of line 1.
No trains will run in either direction between Finch and St. Clair stations on Saturday and Sunday, due to signal upgrades and for work on the Crosstown LRT.
Shuttle buses are running in place.
Line 1 Yonge-University: No service between Finch and St Clair while we upgrade signals. Shuttle buses are running between Finch and St Clair.
