Hamilton police say one student was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries and several arrests were made after a series of violent incidents at Sir Allan MacNab Secondary School on Thursday morning.
Police were called to the school at 145 Magnolia Drive just after 9:30 a.m.
There were reports that two large fights took place, one at the school, and another at a second location just off school property.
Police say a 16-year-old male and a 17-year-old female are under arrest and have been charged with assault level one.
Investigators say two more people were arrested following “several other incidents.” A 16-year-old female has been charged with uttering threats and a 36-year-old woman is facing a charge for causing a disturbance. Police say the woman is not an employee of the school.
The school was placed in hold-and-secure as a precaution, but it has since been lifted.
