56-year-old man dead after being struck by vehicle in Etobicoke

A 56-year-old man died of his injuries after he was struck by a vehicle in Etobicoke late Tuesday night.
The incident occurred in the area of The Westway and Wincott Drive near Kipling Avenue just before midnight.
Toronto police say the man was crossing The Westway mid-block from the north side to the south when he was hit by a vehicle that was travelling east on the roadway.
The pedestrian was rushed to hospital where he later died.
The driver remained at the scene.
