Woman injured in downtown Toronto stabbing, male suspect wanted

A woman has been taken to hospital after being stabbed inside a downtown Toronto residence.

Toronto police were called to the home at George Street and Dundas Street East just before 11 a.m. Tuesday.

They found a woman with a stab wound and she was taken to hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries.

The male suspect fled the scene on foot. Authorities say the two individuals were known to each other.

No other details were released.
