Erick began his journalism career on the CityNews assignment desk in 2012, while also completing his studies at York University for communications and Seneca College for broadcast journalism. He has since shifted to roles within the industry including associate producer and segment producer, allowing him to develop his skills in chasing, producing, writing and reporting. From producing political panels for live broadcasts to creating engaging segments for morning television, Erick’s experience in broadcast and online journalism spans a decade. Erick enjoys sharing stories from Canadians across the country, with a keen interest in transportation and travel. His reporting recently earned CityNews a 2022 RTDNA Canada nomination in the Feature News for Large Market category. Today, Erick continues to keep Canadians well-informed alongside the CityNews assignment team as a multi-media content creator.
